Hi Charlotte,

Well what can I say - the band came on and it was like someone had flicked on a light switch - POW!! From the first number in each set to the last, the dance floor was crowded and everyone had an absolutely incredible time. No one was left out - all ages and abilities (apologies for my unusual dancing style) and both genders danced the night away. I don't ever remember seeing so many guys on the floor for so long. The set was amazing, and you and the band were brilliant, and even after seeing you and John play live - you still blew us away. Even the bride and grooms mum's were up on their toes most of the night (a few war wounds nursed for a few days later!!) In short, the evening guests felt welcome, the day guests found another gear (amazing after all that plonk) and the kids danced the night away on the lawn with the odd roly poly thrown in for good measure!

You made our night!
Thanks again for wonderful memories,
With all our best wishes,
Darren and Jo.

Hi Charlotte

The dust has finally settled after all the hype and I now have a moment to drop you a note to say thank you very much for helping make our party so special and enjoyable. You created a fantastic atmosphere for everyone to thoroughly enjoy the evening and your choice of music was perfect. I hope you all enjoyed the evening too - the staff in The Sun said they'd also enjoyed themselves because you were so brilliant! So thanks again and I'm sure our paths will cross again when I can find an excuse for another shindig!

Very best wishes

Dear Charlotte and the rest of the band,

Thank you so much for making our party so wonderful the music was a great part of the evening and everyone commented on your band and how wonderful they thought you were. We enjoyed having you play and thought you were all very spot on when everyone was eating, etc. and the dancing took off straight away when you upped the tempo. Thanks as well for being sympathetic to my choice in music and not singing any belters, I am sure they are fun to sing though. Wishing you well for the rest of the year and we will most certainly recommend you to who ever needs a band.

Wishing you all well,
Much love

Hiya Charlotte,

Firstly THANK YOU for playing at our wedding... you went down like a storm. We had such good feedback on how good you were and what a great up beat band you all were. Also sorry we didn't hit off on time... I guess this happens at weddings, and really it was a blessing to have you start an hour later!! Also I saw your gig dates for August.. however we were on honeymoon still so what are you gig dates for Sept? James and I would like to see you guys again and bring a few people who were unable to attend that day.

Hope all is well and I hope to hear from you soon
Lots of love Sonia and James (Cresswell aka Hassall now!!)

Dear Miss Collingwood

Like a nightingale you perched within earshot. Your beautiful renditions made a celebration of my dear husband even more special. Many people commented on your voice, I and everyone fortunate to have witnessed the occasion, were delighted. Thank you very much also to your guitarist. May the Good Lord always bless and keep you.

To whom it may concern

We booked the Charlotte Collingwood Band for our wedding at Harrow School in August 2004. Before the wedding, people told us that it isn’t the flowers, the food, the dress or even the ceremony everyone remembers; it’s the reception. That’s why we were so lucky to have booked The Charlotte Collingwood Band to entertain our guests.
They played a wonderful range of music, starting with our first dance and continuing with a mixture of pop, rock and swing that ensured a full dance floor as we danced the night away.
We really felt Charlotte and Irvine waned to make our day special and ensure it ran smoothly. They made the booking process simple, advised us on the music, arrived in good time and finished the day off with class and style. We enjoyed every minute of it and our guests repeated their praises for the music too.

Dear Miss Collingwood

I want to express thanks to you and your band on behalf of myself and my clients for helping make our Baxter and Platts Annual Client Dinner so fantastic. I have received some wonderful comments from our guests, as your professional band made the casino ambience complete with the excellent jazz entertainment.
I hope this will be the first of many bookings with you as we are forging stronger links with the events team here at our client base, DrKW.

Dear Charlotte

We’d like to thank you for the professional service you gave us regarding music for our wedding. The music was exactly how we wanted it to be, and many people commented throughout the day and afterwards on how great the music was, both during the day and for the evening disco.
Thanks also for learning the particular songs we requested – both our mothers were thrilled, and our friends were on the dance floor all night – which was exactly what we wanted!
Please pass on our appreciation to the rest of the band…

Thanks again

Dear Charlotte

Very many thanks to your and your colleagues for playing so fantastically at our dinner at the Shepherd Churchill Room last Wednesday.
Everyone who attended was extremely complimentary about your music which helped make the evening so enjoyable for us all.
Rhonda and I would like the opportunity of seeing and hearing you again and I would therefore appreciate being added to your mailing list of when you are performing.

Thank you again

Dear Charlotte

Just a belated note (we’ve just got back from a rather long honeymoon) to say a big thank you for singing at St Bonaventure’s. You made the ceremony extra special for us and our congregation and we really appreciate all the effort you put in, not only on the day, but prior to it as well

With love

Dear Charlotte

I am writing to thank you and the other members of your quartet for helping to make our silver wedding anniversary at Brocket Hall Golf Club a night and occasion to remember. The wide variety of music coped for the different moods of the evening from the reception to the dancing and was always perfectly appropriate.
So many people have asked for your details and I hope that you are kept busy during the coming months. We are hoping to celebrate our 50th birthdays in July 2007, probably at the same wonderful venue, and hope that you will be able to entertain us again and help make these celebrations another memorable occasion.

Thanks once again
Kind regards

Dear Miss Collingwood

Thank you so much for your beautiful singing at our mother, Christine’s funeral at St Mary’s in North Mymms. My mum really enjoyed classical music, in particular that piece, and she would have loved to know it was sung especially for her.

Thank you once again

Hi Charlotte

Just a short note to thank you for helping to make Rose’s funeral “just right”.
You performed brilliantly and I feel it set just the right tome. Many thanks.

Dear Charlotte

I had to write to say a big thank you for you and your band’s tremendous input into my party. All my guests commented on how very impressed they were by the quality and style of your singing and playing. The change from band to disco, which you remember I was quite worried about, was seamless. The melodic style and tempo of your playing was perfectly judged, neither too loud or too slow. It is quite an achievement to get a 92 year-old and a 16 year-old onto the same dance floor, but somehow you managed it!
The evening was fantastic, and your professionalism and accomplishment certainly created a wonderful atmosphere, which helped the event go better than I could have possible dreamed.

With kindest regards

A review of one of our public duo performances…

Well, this is simply a pure class act, mellow and low-key when they want to be but capable of much more, the quality just shines through.
Charlotte has a gorgeous, luxurious jazz voice (professionally trained in London's West End theatres), it's a real diamond. And when she starts singing you just know she's doing what she's meant to be doing.
Meanwhile John on guitar expertly underpins and supports but never competes, switching styles as needed, all the while mixing bass lines with jazz fretwork all in one instrument. Impressive stuff.
This is the kind of quality which surprises and I noticed people coming up to them wanting to know and hear more.
Me too! More, more, more.
