Eva Cassidy (1963 – 1996)

Eva Cassidy was possessed of one of the most remarkable voices of all time, all the more surprising to discover she received little public recognition until after her death in 1996 from cancer. The posthumous compilation “Songbird” has sold over a million copies in the UK, while film footage of Eva performing “Over The Rainbow” is the most requested video ever on Top of The Pops.
